Come along on National Heritage Open Day, Saturday 14 September, for a free tour of the magnificent Victoria Hall in the World Heritage Site of Saltaire.
Victoria Hall was opened in the early 1870s as the Saltaire Club and Institute. It was originally created for “innocent and intelligent recreation”. There was everything from a library and billiard room to lecture halls and a gymnasium. The Hall has been used to host many different types of events down to the present day, including dances, plays, musical performances, films, weddings and fairs.
As part of National Heritage Open Day there will be tours of Victoria Hall guided by knowledgeable local guides and historians.
