Free guided tour for National Lottery players

2018.3.16.1: Triumphal Arch for opening of Royal Yorkshire Jubilee Exhibition

Free guided tour of Saltaire on Saturday 15 March

National Lottery Week logo

As part of National Lottery Open Week the Saltaire Collection are offering a free guided tour of the historic World Heritage Site of Saltaire. The tour is open only to players of the National Lottery, to say ‘thank you’ for the support the Collection has received from the Lottery Heritage Fund.

Our guides have a wealth of historical knowledge and will provide details of the many dramas and events over time in Saltaire. The village has been continuously lived and worked in since its foundation in the 1850s – so there’s plenty to tell!

Details

When: Saturday 15 March

Time: 10.00am to 12.00

Booking is essential by 12 March – see below. Numbers are limited – there will be two groups with a maximum of 15 people in each.

You must provide proof of playing the National Lottery. Please bring along proof such as a lottery ticket or scratchcard.

The guided tour is outside. We recommend appropriate clothing for possibly cold and wet weather, and footwear suitable for Saltaire’s uneven pavements and streets

Saltaire has some relatively steep inclines, some cobbled areas and one very busy road to cross (with a pelican crossing) and so is not suitable for some people with significant mobility impairments.

The tour is NOT suitable for young children. We think 7 or 8 is the minimum age.

We welcome visitors of all abilities and cultural backgrounds but cannot provide translated information in other languages.

How to book

Remember that the tour is only open to players of the National Lottery. Please bring along proof of playing the lottery, such as a lottery ticket or scratchcard.

Send us an email by 12 March to saltairestories@gmail.com with the subject line March Tour. Please state how many places you would like to reserve
